Poem in Praise of Morpeth School Community
Pupils from Years 8 and 9 have written a poem in praise of Morpeth School’s diverse community, as part of a project based on the novel, The Heartstone Odyssey.
The book deals with themes of tolerance, diversity and community cohesion. Pupils were asked to consider the theme ‘What is a Community’ using either:
- a charter of Human Social Justice
- any poetry and artwork by pupils, or
- photos taken previously.
The resulting poem describes Morpeth as being like a “kiwi fruit with lots of pips within”.
