Graduating in style
Year 11 students graduated in style on Friday 29th June 2018.
Dressed in their finest, pupils walked the red carpet to cheers and applause from onlookers, including teachers and parents.
Guest speaker at the ceremony was Emmanuel Akpan-Inwang, a former pupil of Morpeth School and Founder/Director of Lighthouse, an organisation set up to improve the prospects for children in residential care.
This Year 11 graduation group is of particular significance to Headteacher, Jemima Reilly, as she became Head of the school on the same day they joined Morpeth.
Ms Reilly said: “I hope you take with you not just what you have learned in the classrooms at Morpeth, but also all the friendships that you have formed here, and the values and respect for others that are so important to us all.”
Many of the pupils will return to Morpeth in September 2018, to join the Sixth Form.
Morpeth Sixth Form open evening takes place on Wednesday 7th November 2018 from 4.30pm to 7.00pm.
