Dear Parents,
Choosing a secondary school where your child will be happy and achieve their potential is not an easy decision. For those of you with children already here you will know Morpeth well, although there is always change taking place. If you do not have a child at the school you will be keen to find out as much as you can and, hopefully, our website will provide this.
Morpeth is a co-educational school for pupils aged 11-16. We are pleased that we reflect the population of Tower Hamlets, with a good mix of boys and girls and all the different ethnic groups found in the borough. We see the positive relationships between all these groups as a strength of the school. We have an experienced, committed and stable staff and over the last few years there has been a major building programme giving us excellent facilities in all subject areas.
We believe that the huge improvement in exam performance which we have achieved over the last few years can be attributed to many factors but the most important is the high quality of teaching and support provided by our staff, the hard work of our pupils, and what we call the school ethos - by this we mean the atmosphere that we are creating in the school that values learning and that encourages and supports all pupils to achieve as highly as they can. Our extensive extra curricular programme plays a major part in this. If you decide to send your child to Morpeth we hope you will become a part of our community and that we can work together in enabling your child to achieve highly.
Yours sincerely,
