Each pupil in years 7-9 has one lesson of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) a week.
Our pupils are enthusiastic ICT users, taught by an efficient and equally enthusiastic team of ICT teachers. We also have an excellent team of technical help consisting of a network manager and 2 technicians. All the ICT classrooms are furnished with 30 workstations and an interactive whiteboard.
Key Stage 3
From Years 7-9, pupils follow the Key Stage 3 Strategy materials. They have one lesson of ICT (Information and Communication Technology)and a week the following topics are covered:

- Year 7: PowerPoint, basic spreadsheets, flat file databases, creating leaflets, control and measurement
- Year 8: modelling using spreadsheets, web design and handling information.
- Year 9: modelling using spreadsheets, relational databases, DTP and improving business documents.
Key Stage 4
At Key Stage 4 pupils have the option of choosing CiDA (Certificate in Digital Applications). Pupils have 4 lessons a week and they work through two units over two years. Both units carry equal weighting.
