Sixth formers spread happiness and goodwill
Spreading happiness and goodwill before Christmas, Morpeth's Sixth Formers set about raising £200 which they used to lay on a Christmas tea party for older residents from the local Tower Hamlets community.
Students bought food, drinks, presents and decorations for their guests who were invited through the charity, Tower Hamlets Friends & Neighbours (THFN).
Guests were entertained with board games, karaoke and a surprise visit from Santa.
The party is organised every year by Sixth Form students as part of their commitment to volunteering.
THFN provides a befriending service to Tower Hamlets residents aged 55 and over.
