GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Basic entry requirements for A-level subjects are a minimum of 5 GCSEs at 5 or above with a minimum of a grade 5 in both English Language and Maths. Additionally, some subjects also have subject specific entry requirements, which are outlined below:

BTECs

BTEC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Basic entry requirements for Level 3 BTEC subjects are a minimum of 5 GCSEs at 4 including English Language and Maths. Students who do not have a 4 in either English or Maths will have to retake that subject alongside their BTEC course.

Film Academy

Film Academy Morpeth is a cinema based enrichment programme available to YR 12 students starting in September 2024. 

FAM offers an all inclusive study of filmmaking practice and theory. Over the course of your enrichment you will; write your own screenplays, make your own films, learn about the theory of film, the social and political contexts of cinema, film genre, narrative and all about the film industry and how it works.

There will be film screenings, lectures, events and trips outside of Morpeth and potentially the chance to meet with professionals currently working in the film industry.     

Film Academy Morpeth offers opportunities for personal and academic growth. Through FAM you will become a more interesting, cultured and esoteric individual, you will have a set of experiences and skills that will make your UCAS application stand out from the crowd and potentially an extra 20 UCAS points as well. 

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Would you like to earn the Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award? If so, be prepared for an exciting year of planning and then taking part in weekend expeditions outside of London, and gather lots of useful evidence for your university applications.
